Gobble ‘n’ Scoop 5K and Fun Run

We are so excited for our 2nd annual Gobble N Scoop 5K run/walk and kids fun run.  We hope everyone will be back to join us for another year and invite even more family and friends. Strollers/Dogs: Strollers and dogs are welcome on the route at your own risk. Dogs must be well behaved. We are expecting about a lot of runners again this year and some areas of the route will be crowded.

Parking: Jem 100’s parking lot will be closed off for the event. We recommend finding street parking or using one of the 3 public parking lots within walking distance of the event. The map below has 3 options, the cultural center, public library and parking off 2nd street behind downtown businesses.

Route: We have modified the round due to constructions on the sidewalks down college street. Please see the updated map for the new route. There is a 2 mile turn off or those walkers/runners who do not want to do the full 5K at the Pinehurst street. There will be a sign holder at the corner designating this turn.

Route Safety: This is an untimed event with no streets being blocked. All participants need to obey all traffic laws and stay on the sidewalks/right side of the road wherever possible. Cars will not stop for you so please yield to all vehicles. Please watch for volunteers at all turns holding red and white direction signs.

Kids Run Cheering Crew: We could use as many people as possible to help line Sheridan street to cheer on the kids. They will be running to the cultural center and back. We have volunteers assigned but the bigger the crowd the better for the little kiddos! Some of these guys are doing their first organized run and we want them to LOVE it!!!
