Absolutely! With a pool-swim and supersprint distance option, this event is perfect for beginner and first-time triathletes.

Yes! There will be awards for all finishers in addition to special awards for the top three overall and in each age group.
Yes, food and refreshments provided by our partners will be available for all finishers under the pavillions directly next to the finish line.
Unfortunatley, this is out of our control and refunds will not be issued. Our full refund policy is present during the registration process.
Bring everything given to you at check-in (swim cap, timing chip, running bib) along with a bike, helmet, running shoes, and whatever you're running in. Consult the athlete guide for a full list.
Registration & Check-In
No, patricipants should attend either check-in on Friday evening or Saturday morning, although we encourage everyone to check-in on Friday.
No, the participating athlete has to be present to pick up their packet. This is true for youth athletes as well!
Yes — this is how we secure insurance and it's easily purchaced during registration.
Transition
It depends on your event:
Sprint — opens 5:30am, closes 6:40am
SuperSprint / Youth — opens 5:30am, closes 7:30am
No, only participants and volunteers are allowed in transition.
Each athlete is given ~2ft to set up their bike, helmet, shoes, and anything else you need for the bike / run. Video tutorial coming soon.
We will have a location for everyone to keep their bag / suitcase, more inforamtion coming soon. Please do not keep your bag in transition.
Swim
The swim takes place in the outdoor Princeton Commuinty Park Pool, in an olympic sized pool for the adult race and in the adjacent diving well (with a slide!) for the youth race.

- Goggles
- Comfortable swim suit — tri suit, wetsuit, etc.

Yes, please swim on the right and pass carfully on the left side of the lane. Also, passing is not allowed when turning off the wall to avoid collisions.
Please honestly choose a wave / distance that matches your ability. We have many beginners choose this event due to its accomodation and high level of safety.
Bike & Run
Yes, please familiarize yourself with the course of your event before the race. Find extensive course details on the course page of this website and in the athlete guide.
No, this is a USAT sanctioned event so drafting is not allowed. As such, plan to keep 5 bike lengths between you and the cyclist in front of you unless passing.
No, AirPods or any headphones are not allowed during any section of the race.
