Please read carefully. By submitting this entry, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms.
In consideration of you accepting my entry into the STAMPEDE Duathlon, I, the participant, intending to be legally bound, do hereby waive and forever release any and all rights and claims for damages or injuries that I may have against 406 Race Series, 406 Running LLC, the Event Director, RunSignup.com, ZooMontana, all municipal agencies whose property or personnel are used, all sponsors and their representatives, volunteers, employees, landowners, vendors, and all agents assisting with the event.
This waiver includes any and all injuries or damages suffered by me before, during, or after the event and is binding upon my heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns.
Assumption of Risk
I understand that participating in a duathlon (Run–Bike–Run) is a potentially hazardous activity that includes inherent risks, including but not limited to:
Falls, collisions, or contact with other participants
Vehicle traffic, road hazards, uneven surfaces, and course conditions
Equipment failure (including bicycles or cycling gear)
Adverse weather conditions
Encounters with wildlife within and around the Shiloh Conservation Area
Physical exertion and the possibility of serious injury or death
I knowingly and voluntarily assume all such risks, whether listed or not, and waive any claims arising from them.
Health & Fitness Certification
I certify that:
I am medically able and sufficiently trained to participate.
A licensed Medical Doctor has verified my physical condition if necessary.
I will abide by all decisions of race officials regarding my ability to safely complete the event.
I am responsible for monitoring my own health and will withdraw if needed.
Rules & Safety Requirements
I agree to follow:
All race rules, course markings, signage, and instructions
All traffic laws during the cycling portion
Mandatory helmet use during the bike segment
All safety guidelines issued by the race, state, or local authorities
I understand that failure to comply may result in disqualification or removal from the event.
Medical Authorization
In the event of illness, injury, or medical emergency during the event, I hereby authorize the Event Director, race officials, volunteers, or medical personnel to secure treatment deemed necessary for my immediate care from any accredited hospital, clinic, or physician.
I agree that I am fully responsible for all medical costs, including but not limited to transportation, treatment, medication, and hospitalization.
Photography & Media Release
I grant permission to the Event Director, 406 Race Series, ZooMontana, sponsors, and partners to use my name, voice, and images of me in any photographs, videos, publications, or electronic media for legitimate promotional purposes.
Refund, Transfer & Event Policy
I understand and agree that:
All entry fees are non-refundable.
Bib numbers are non-transferable.
The event may be postponed, modified, or canceled due to circumstances beyond the organizers’ control (including natural disaster, emergency, public health restrictions, or conditions that threaten participant safety).
No refunds will be issued under these circumstances.
Event details are subject to change without prior notice.
Acknowledgment
By submitting this entry, I acknowledge that I have read, understood, and agreed to the above release and waiver.
If registering a minor, I certify that I am the parent or legal guardian and accept these terms on their behalf.
