Conservation Park Duathlon
Participant Waiver and Release of Liability
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE SIGNING. 

I know that participating in a duathlon, trail race, road race, cycling event, or multisport event is a potentially hazardous activity that could cause injury, illness, permanent disability, or death. I will not enter and participate unless I am medically able and properly trained. By signing this waiver, I certify that I am medically able to perform this event, am in good health, and am properly trained to participate.

I agree to abide by any decision of race officials relative to any aspect of my participation in this event, including the right of any official to deny or suspend my participation for any reason whatsoever. I acknowledge that I have read the rules of the race and agree to abide by them.

I knowingly and voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation in this event, including but not limited to falls; collisions with other participants, volunteers, spectators, vehicles, or objects; physical contact with other participants, volunteers, race personnel, contractors, or spectators; the potential contraction or spread of communicable diseases or illnesses; weather conditions including extreme heat, humidity, rain, lightning, cold temperatures, and changing weather conditions; trail and terrain conditions including uneven surfaces, roots, sand, mud, gravel, pavement, loose debris, standing water, bridges, and obstacles; traffic and roadway conditions; mechanical failure of equipment or bicycles; wildlife and domestic animals; and the negligence of other participants or persons involved with the event.

I acknowledge that the event takes place in and around Conservation Park and involves both paved and trail surfaces that may contain natural hazards and uneven terrain. I understand that emergency medical services may not be immediately available in all areas of the course.

I further agree to abide by recommendations and guidelines intended to reduce the spread of communicable diseases and understand that participation may increase exposure risk. I voluntarily assume all risks related to communicable diseases, including illness, injury, permanent disability, and death.

I understand that bicycles used during the event must be in safe operating condition and that helmets are required during the cycling portion of the event. I agree to follow all transition area rules and instructions from race officials.

I understand that personal music players, headphones, pets, skateboards, roller skates, inline skates, and unauthorized vehicles are prohibited during the event unless otherwise approved by race officials.

Having read this waiver and knowing these facts, and in consideration of the acceptance of my entry, I, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive, release, and discharge Sand Dollar Racing, Conservation Park, Bay County, Panama City Beach, all sponsors, volunteers, race officials, event staff, contractors, property owners, affiliates, successors, and assigns from all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in this event, including claims arising out of negligence or carelessness of the persons or entities named in this waiver to the fullest extent permitted by law.

I grant permission to the event organizers and affiliates to use photographs, video recordings, motion pictures, or any other record of this event for legitimate promotional or commercial purposes without compensation.

I understand that event registrations are non-refundable, including in the event of cancellation, postponement, modification, weather-related interruption, acts of nature, public health concerns, or other circumstances beyond the control of the event organizers.

I have carefully read this waiver and fully understand its contents. I understand that I am giving up substantial legal rights by signing it, and I sign it freely and voluntarily.
