The Capes and Courage Run takes place at The Preserve at Lakewood, with 2 spooky-fun loops of wide, grassy trails. Enjoy the beautiful fall weather and keep your eyes out for curious critters on this nature preserve!

Toughest Kids has a unique mission: helping kids cope with their adverse circumstances by showing them how nature and the outdoors can lift and brighten one's spirit. Whatever challenges our kids face, we're here to support the positive role models in their lives and provide unique ways for them to find their inner strength.

• Who can take part? Everyone. Kids and grown-ups alike can run or walk at their own pace.
• Do I have to wear a costume? No, but costumes are strongly encouraged. Pick something you can comfortably run or walk in on grass.
• Can I sign up on race day? Yes. Online registration stays open until the 11:00 AM start on race day.
• Clocks fall back! Daylight saving time ends early that Sunday morning, so clocks fall back one hour before race day begins. The 11:00 AM start is on the new time.

Series Finisher: finish 5 races in any one series (Trail, Ultra, Road, Brew, Youth or Giving) to earn that series' Finisher coin and Finisher tee. Free and earned on the course, never sold.

Upstate 250 Club: log 250 or more race miles across Upstate Race Series events in a season to earn the 250 Club buckle.

The Anchor Award: the runner with the most race miles across the Upstate Race Series keeps the Anchor Award for the year, and their name goes on it for good.
