Description

RunCorps encourages anyone who wants to try out Duathlons or Mountain biking to sign up for this event. Our events are for the "Everyday Athlete" to experience new and exciting adventures. We will not close the course early and everyone will have time to finish. We want you to feel comfortable and encouraged even if you're at the "back of the pack". If you just want to see if you can do it, this is the race to try it!

Awards for first place Overall Male and Female and top team (no gender awards in teams, top team only).

Relay Info: Relay price is for both participants, only two people allowed per team. Relay can be mixed gender or same gender and the team can complete the course however they like (I.e. one does run, one does bike OR one does the first run, one does the bike and the second run, etc). Relay exchange is only available at the transition area (you can not change participants in the middle of the run or bike courses).  When registering 1st member, select create a new duathlon team and name your team. When adding second member, just click on join existing team and find the team.

Due to the danger on the course, children under the age of 14 will not be allowed on the bike course. They can however do a run leg if they are 12 or older.

Run: 2.9 Miles, Bike 6.1 Miles, Run 2.8 Miles

- No cutoff time
- Aide stations: Gels, Sword, Water, Oranges, Etc.
- All bikes acceptable with exception of powered/motorized or recumbant (this is on intermediate trail, choose your bike appropriately)
- HELMETS REQUIRED!
- Team Relay Available

In the event of light to moderate snow/rain, and the absence of any lightning, our goal is to proceed with the full duathlon event as long as conditions are safe and will allow the bike and run portions to take place.

If the bike course is determined to be unsafe, but the run course is determined to be safe, the event can be modified into a run only event.

If after one hour of a weather hold all three portions of the event are determined to be unsafe, the event can be cancelled.

The events have a one hour weather hold timeframe because each location impacts the safety of the event by such factors as other scheduled events at the locations, increasing traffic on bike and run courses as the morning passes, law enforcement and medical support schedules, and coordinated permit limitations if the weather hold exceeds one hour.

Due to the nature of multi-sport events taking place generally in the outdoors, weather conditions can play a large role in the production of the event.  Because a significant amount of the funds collected during registration have been expended by the day of the event for the production of the event and because each event is uniquely scheduled for its date and location, registration refunds are not possible and rescheduling the event is not possible, and thus the no refund policy.
