RIDE DETAILS FOR 2025

Thank you for registering for the Tour de Blueberry 2025! The Cape Fear Cyclists are so excited that you've chosen to ride with us this year. You can find detailed information here. The final athlete guide will be released by June 18. We will be adding information all week. For now, here are some details to make this your best ride ever:
DATE: Saturday, June 21, 2025 [Rain or Shine].
TIME: WHEELS ROLL AT 8:30AM.
PLACE: Burgaw Middle School, 500 Wright Street, Burgaw, NC. Parking is available in the fenced-in field. The entrance to parking is near the intersection of Clark Street & S. Dickerson Street. HERE is the link/pin for the parking entrance. This lot will close at 8:00AM or when it reaches capacity. Overflow parking is available at the CFCC lot behind the school at 100 Industrial Drive. When you exit the parking area after the event, please be cautious of other riders who may be finishing their rides.
DISTANCES
100K (66 miles), 50K (32 miles), 22 miles and 10 miles.
You can find maps of the courses on the Tour de Blueberry website HERE. The verified RideWithGPS Collection is HERE. You can download them to your computer or watch or print out your own cue sheet. There will be limited printed copies of the cue sheets at packet pick-up. These courses are open to traffic. Courses will be well marked with tape and signs, but, it is ultimately up to the rider to know the course. HELMETS ARE REQUIRED & MUST BE WORN FOR ALL DISTANCES.
PLEASE NOTE: Event officials reserve the right to close the bike course at any time for safety reasons. If temperatures are above 90 on June 21, event officials may issue a cutoff time of 11:30AM to start the second loop. There will be intermediate cutoff at 1:15PM at Sand Hill AME Church. Riders who do not meet these cutoff will be transported back to Burgaw Middle School. All courses close at 3:00PM.
REGISTRATION is still open. All registration is online through the RUNSIGNUP platform and will be available until the event reaches capacity. We do not accept cash or checks on ride day. No refunds are available for this ride.
PACKET PICK-UP
SIGN-IN & SWAG PICK-UP - Friday, June 20 from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM at Waterman's Brewing - 1610 Pavilion Place, Wilmington NC.
You may also pick up your swag at Burgaw Middle School on Saturday, June 21 from 7:00AM - 8:00AM. Don't wait until the last minute!
Riders will receive a bib, safety pins, t-shirts and other gear. You MUST wear your bib (front or back) during your event. Make sure you fill out the safety information on the bib in case of an accident. Cape Fear Cyclist members will also receive a red wristband (see membership perks below).
PRE-RIDE INFORMATION
CAPE FEAR CYCLISTS The CFC is proud to host the Tour de Blueberry! When you see us out there in our Cape Fear Cyclist ride jerseys or red wristbands - please be sure to say hello or ask for assistance.
CFC members receive a few new VIP perks this year:
- WRISTBANDS: Cape Fear Cyclist members will also receive a red wristband. Please wear it at the event so that we can identify you.
- BLUEBERRIES! Each CFC member receives a pint of blueberries after the ride. We have reserved pints of blueberries for you in the cafeteria after the ride.
- VIP CHECK-IN There will be a separate line for CFC members at Packet Pick-Up on Friday and Saturday.
- VIP BREAKFAST LOUNGE Members will have access to the cafeteria from 7:00AM - 8:00AM. We'll have coffee and breakfast treats available for you! And best of all: indoor restrooms.
- A FREE MASSAGE Your name will be entered into a raffle to win a one-hour massage with one of our therapists in the next 90 days.

GROUP/TEAM PHOTOS Once again we welcome Chris Yarborough of Dreamscape Imaging to the Tour de Blueberry. He provides great photos at the start and finish of the event and out on course. He will be ready to get your team's photo under the arch between 7:30AM & 8:15AM. Not only does he take amazing images, but Chris also offers free downloads of all the photos from our event! This is a great way to promote your team!
PRE-RIDE BIKE SUPPORT
ERNIE'S MOBILE BIKE REPAIR & SPECIAL PEDALS will be at Burgaw Middle School to help with minor repairs before the event. They will be located near the basketball court. They will be providing assistance for minor repairs and maintenance before we get started and in-between loops. They may be help you inflate tires, patch tubes, reattach chains and help with stuck or loose brakes. They may not have replacement parts, a charge port for your electronic gears or equipment for sale. Please bring your own equipment (bikes, helmet and refillable water bottles).
POST-RIDE INFORMATION
MERCHANDISE will be available while supplies last. We will have limited editions of past TdB t-shirts. Please be prepared with cash for these items.
LUNCH: Lunch is FREE for registered riders. You'll be able to choose from one of our options: FUSION FRIES FOOD TRUCK & MICHAEL'S SEAFOOD EXPRESS and DELI SUBS & SANDWICHES. Your bib includes a tear-off lunch ticket. Be sure to present your tear-off lunch ticket to the staff at one lunch station to receive your meal. Canned sodas, lemonade and water will be located in an ice chest near the cafeteria.
BLUEBERRIES! Altar Cross Farms will be on site pre- and post-ride to sell blueberries. You can order your berries BEFORE your ride and pick them up AFTER your ride. They will accept cash and charge.
POP-UP SPA This year, we'll have a massage and chiropractic care on hand for your post-ride rest and rejuvenation. Chair and table massages will be available in the air-conditioned cafeteria. Therapists will charge $1/minute and will accept cash, charge and Venmo/PayPal.
MISC INFORMATION
It is likely to be hot for our ride. Be sure to hydrate! Wear lightweight clothes. And sunscreen. Riders are expected to bring refillable water bottles. We are reducing our use of plastics and will provide limited single-use bottles at the aid stations. You will be able to refill your bottles with water and Gatorade at each aid station. We'll provide ice at each station as well.
PREPARE FOR HOT WEATHER OR RAIN The forecast is currently calling for temps around 90s and feels-like temps near 100. Please prepare accordingly. Hydrate! Wear lightweight clothes. And sunscreen. Riders are expected to bring refillable water bottles. We are reducing our use of plastics and will provide limited single-use bottles at the aid stations. You will be able to refill your bottles with water and electrolytes and calories at each aid station. We'll provide ice at each station as well. In the event of inclement weather, please take extra measures for your safety and the riders around you. Slow down. Don't tailgate (draft). Use hand signals and verbal cues. In the case of lightning, please seek shelter immediately.
