Please bring a CANned food item and join us for the 5th annual CAN the Bird 5K Turkey Trot, on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 27, beginning at 8:00 am. The race will begin and end in the Walmart parking lot, 5885 Kingstowne Boulevard, Alexandria, VA 22315.

All ages can enjoy a run, jog or stroll around Kingstowne and its scenic Lake.

Location: Koinonia Foundation, 6107 Franconia Rd, Alexandria, VA 22310 (the Olivet Campus of St Martin de Porres Episcopal Church, with the entrance on Beulah, north of the fire station.)

Participants will receive a commemorative race t-shirt.

Awards will be given to the top three overall male and female finishers, top three male and female finishers in 12 & Under and 13-18 age groups. Plus fastest male and female runner with dog and fastest male and female runner with stroller will receive an award.

Donations of nonperishable food items will be accepted by Koinonia
