Are you just entering the multi-sport scene?

Tidewater Striders define multi-sport beginners as those who have competed in less than 4 multi-sport events.

Novice participants compete in the same distances and time as sprint.

Distances are the same as the Sprint, and will start at the same time. 

Novice Participants will not qualify for Age Group awards.

Kids Mini-Duathlon Distances

1 Mile Run

5 Mile Bike Ride 

0.5 mile run

Kid's Duathlon Note: Parents are able to do the run and bike ride portions with their child, but you must choose that registration option.

All Participants

Bike Racks will be available and ready race morning by 7:00 am

Course Information

Schedule:

• Sprint starts at 7:30 AM (3 hr time limit)
• Kids Mini starts at 9:15 am (2 hr time limit)

COURSE:

Out and back course on the closed 2-lane roadway at the Dismal Swamp Trail Park in Chesapeake.

FLUIDS AND FOOD:

There will be 2 aid stations.

1. One at the transition area
2. One at the one mile run turnaround with Water and Gatorade

Post-Race Party

AMENITIES and POST-RACE:

Awesome Swag!!! With premium race shirts for men and women will be provided and medals for all Finishers. 

On-site hospitality and refreshments with an Awards Ceremony following the race.

AWARDS:

Sprint Duathlon:

• Top 3 Overall Male and Female
• Top 3 Overall Male and Female Masters
• Top 3 Males and Females in 10-year age groups will receive awards

Novice Sprint:

• Top 3 Overall Male and Female in the Novice Sprint Duathlon

Mini Duathlon: Age Groups Awards Only
