Set Up Day - Sat July 20 from 2pm-6pm

The set up crew will be helping to set up the main event around the football field and pool. The road closures and cones are set up by our paid traffic control company, so this will NOT include large zones of travel. Our focus will be the pool, transition area, finish line, and foot traffic controls around the center mass of the race.

Select this options if you are available to help, and do not care what area of the course you are put on. Feel free to send us a note if there are any spots you DO NOT want to be. Otherwise, this floating crew is our greatest asset come race day!

Pool deck

Details

This primarily involves crowd control and helping to coordinate waves. This DOES NOT include lifeguarding or swimming: these jobs are handled by paid professionals. You will not be expected to be in the water if volunteering at the pool, however, you may get wet because.... well.... water.

Bike Course

At least 3 more volunteers needed.

Details

This crew will be working under the supervision of Roy Flake, our amazing bike course lead. Jobs may include course control, aid stations, etc, or if you have a bike and are competent on it, we would love to have you as roving support or as a lead in/out for the bike course athletes. This position will NOT include vehicular traffic control. That will be handled by Fresno Police Department or CHP.

Run Course

At least 2 more volunteers needed.

Details

This task may involve helping to guide athletes at various intersections or turn arounds or aid stations. This task will NOT include vehicle traffic control. That will be handled by Fresno Police Department or CHP.

Transition

At least 5 more volunteers needed.

Details

This task may include supporting athletes in transition, foot traffic control, general cat herding, or mount/dismount line controls.

Food Booth Crew

Minimum met.

Details

This is for the FFA crew handing our BBQ and food station. You know what to do...

Finish Line

At least 4 more volunteers needed.

Details

This task may include handing out finishers medals, supporting the timing crew with written finishing times, guiding athletes to their food, or assisting athletes to the medical tent when needed.

Medic Team

You must be 18 or older to volunteer for this task.

Minimum met.

Details

Provide medical support both at the finish line and on course. This position may be paired with other duties in order to have medical coverage throughout the course
