Volunteer Coordinator Medium Priority

Details

Help recruit volunteers prior to race day. Notify all volunteers of their assigned position and what time to report on race day. Day of the race: all volunteers will check in with you. You will remind them of their assigned task and where their station is located.

Location

Please stay at the Check-in tent until all volunteers are checked in, so that you're easy to find.

Race Day Check-In High Priority

You will need to report to the volunteer coordinator 30 min before registration starts to make sure all devices are up and running and everyone knows how to use the RaceDay Check-in app. If you have any questions, find the volunteer coordinator first. If unable to find that person, then seek Race Director, or Co-Director.

Water Station Medium Priority

At least 3 more volunteers needed.

Details

Check in with Volunteer Coordinator at least 1 hr prior to race start. Get the table, water, cups, and trashcan from Volunteer Coordinator and take all of these supplies to the north side of the Garner Street crossing. You may park in the gravel parking lot on the south side of Garner Street. Get everything set up in the shade :) set several cups out on the table and fill about 1/2 to 3/4 full. Keep gallons of water handy and replace cups as needed. Have 1 person setting out cups and filling. Have 2 people handing out water (hold hand flat with cup of water on hand so the runner can grab and go). When there is a lull in participants, pick up all trash. Once the last participant has left your station headed back to the YMCA, make sure all trash is picked up, bring all supplies back to the finish line area.

Post-Race Food Low Priority

At least 2 more volunteers needed.

Details

Race Director (or Co-Director) will have all of the food for you. Once the race has started, clear off tables from Check-In area and set out the food and water on these tables. You don't have to set out everything at once, just be available to re-stock as needed. Once all participants have completed the race and had a chance to get food, pick up all left overs, throw away all trash.
