Details

The primary responsibility of this task is to ensure that all athletes stay on the race course at all times. You will provide direction and indicate upcoming turnarounds as needed. You will keep an eye on driveways to make sure the athletes stay safe. This task is performed standing and may require some walking.

Run Aid Station High Priority

Details

When you assume your position at the aid station location, you will verify that your station is stocked with proper equipment and supplies. You will find 1 large Gatorade cooler with Gatorade cups and several gallon bottles of water with plain paper cups. Gatorade goes in Gatorade cups (2/3 full) and water in the plain paper cups (again 2/3 full). Please hold cups out for athletes to grab as they pass the aid station. You will also need to clean up discarded trash and breakdown the station upon the last athlete passing by.

This task does require you to stand for most of the shift. In the event of poor weather/extreme sun, a 10x10 shade tent will be provided.

Transition Area High Priority

Details

Direct athletes as they enter and exit transition area during the race. Assist athlete with any questions they may have regarding the transition area.

Please note, that athletes leaving the transition area on the bike portion of the event may not mount their bike inside transition and they MUST have a helmet on and secured prior to leaving transition.

Water Safety - Kayak/Paddleboard Support High Priority

Water support during the swim portions of the races. We prefer that you bring your own equipment (either paddleboard or kayak) for this task, but we can provide some equipment as needed.

Assist the athlete services team to check in athletes. Help set up registration and assist athletes with race questions and body markings as needed.

Finish Line High Priority

Help pass out finisher medals as athletes cross the finish line. Retrieve timing straps from each athlete. Help keep post-race water/hydration tables stocked. May need to help record athlete numbers as a back up.
