You will help setup tables, hang signage & banners, unpack shirts, etc.. Registration tent opens at 7am. Then you will check in race volunteers, hand out volunteer t-shirts, instruct them where to serve (information will be provided) and possibly assign last minute volunteer positions based on need.

Check in at Volunteer table under the tent at 8 S. Squire Street, next to the downtown Rockford Pavilion. Light breakfast will be provided.

Responsibilities include cheering on the runners while monitoring their safety as well as the safety of spectators. You will be assigned specific locations throughout the race. If you're volunteering with a group, we will do our best to keep you together on the course.

Details

Super hero costumes are provided. Arrive at 8am to get into costume and take photos with the littles prior to the race (8:30-9:20am). Lead pre race stretches for the Kids K starting at 9:20am and run alongside the kids during heat 1 (200 yards) and heat 2 (1K - about 600 yards).
