Job Description for water stations - Runners pass twice (Miles 3 & 10.5)

• Volunteers to pour water/sports drink and space out on the table.
• Assign some volunteers picking up garbage as the day progresses “keep the station neat”.
• Place garbage cans down road so that runners can throw empty cups in cans.

Station Table Layout
• One table for each water station.
• For water, fill up cups from the gallon jugs about 2/3 full. Make sure to have table filled with cups before first runner. Space cups out so the runners can easily grab.
• Mix sports drink in the 7 gallon coolers. Follow instructions on label, each makes FIVE gallons of mix. Use the long stir stick to mix for 2 to 3 minutes. Fill cups 2/3 full, and please be sure to have table filled with cups before first runner.

Details

Greet athletes, direct to appropriate registration/packet pickup line. Distribute registration packets to athletes, explaining the packet contents. Distribute t-shirts, bib, and check athlete bags.

Assist in the management of the finish line and after party by distributing medals, water, and food.
