You may select more than one timeslot. Tasks will be assigned closer to the event, but typically include setting up, handing out water, directing riders and attendees, tagging and loading bikes, and cleaning up.

Route Volunteers

Route Sign Placement and Removal High Priority

At least 8 more volunteers needed.

Details

The route is divided into 5 sections. Volunteers will work in pairs to place signs in designated locations. Instructions, signs and supplies will be given for each section. Signs must be hung between Wednesday, July 16, 2025 and Friday, July 18, 2025.

Bus / Transportation Drives High Priority

At least 6 more volunteers needed.

Details

Volunteers will be tasked to support cyclists who need a ride to a predetermined location; will be partnered with a bike transport vehicle; will start at a predetermined location and move with the cyclists as needed; will stay in contact with the command center and assist where needed. Start times vary depending on the designated starting location; must be able to assist until the end of the ride, approximately 2:00 pm.

Bike Transport Drivers High Priority

Minimum met.

Details

Volunteers will be driving vehicles capable of transporting multiple bikes along the route to Atlantic City; will be partnered with Bus/Transport Vehicle and work together to assist cyclists who need transport; will start at a predetermined location and move with the cyclists as needed; will stay in contact with the command center and transport vehicle and assist where needed. Start times vary depending on the designated starting location; must be able to assist until the end of the ride, approximately 2:00 pm.

Motorcycle Escorts High Priority

At least 10 more volunteers needed.

Details

Volunteers will utilize motorcycles along the route to follow cyclists; will check on cyclists stopped along the route and ask if they need assistance; will contact the Command Center and report any issues; will assist with any traffic issues and make proper notifications; will encourage struggling cyclists and suggest a transport if needed; Start times vary depending on the designated starting location; must be able to assist until the end of the ride, approximately 2:00 pm.

EMS/First Aid High Priority

At least 10 more volunteers needed.

Details

Trained Personnel only! Individuals will work under the direction of the Route Director and EMS Director for location and job assignment. Start times vary depending on the designated starting location; must be able to assist until the end of the ride, approximately 2:00 pm.

Traffic Control High Priority

At least 20 more volunteers needed.

Details

Volunteers will be assigned designated locations, intersections to assist cyclists and ensure that cyclist stay on course; will wear high visibility traffic vests; will arrive prior to the first cyclists reaching the location; remain on post until last the last cyclist passes the location; notify Command Center of any issues.

Supply Deliveries Medium Priority

At least 4 more volunteers needed.

Details

Volunteers will make certain that any and all supplying coming from FOP Lodge 56 building are delivered prior to the start of the ride; deliveries begin Saturday July 19, 2025, at 8:00 am.

Call Center Medium Priority

At least 10 more volunteers needed.

Details

Volunteers will answer phone calls from cyclists and other volunteers and dispatch whatever resources are needed. The location is 235 Pine Ave. West Berlin NJ (South Jersey FOP Lodge 56 … aka Rest Stop #1). Start time is 6:45 am Sunday June 20, 2025, and will cease when the last cyclist arrives at the Atlantic City finish line.

Bike Repair Escort High Priority

At least 10 more volunteers needed.

Details

Volunteers will be partnered with both mobile and stationary bike repair personnel; will answer any incoming calls requesting “bike support”. Note: Since the bike repair personnel will be busy with repairs, they will need someone to answer the incoming call request. Start times vary depending on the designated starting location; must be able to assist until the end of the ride, approximately 2:00 pm.
