Assist participants by being in a Kayak or SUP in the water to help in case of emergency. Must supply your own Kayak or SUP, paddle AND wear life jacket while on the water.
Swift water experience not required but helpful. Plan to meet at the Small Watercraft Ramp in Coolidge Park, directly under the Market Street Bridge at 5:30am. Buck will have your volunteer shirts and wristbands.

Direct all racers to turnaround. This is a great spot to cheer for ALL 1000+ runners!
This would be a good spot to bring a bell, you know the kind that used to sit on the teachers desk or on the counter at an old hardware store? Duct tape it to the top of the orange cone and have runners on their last lap, tap the top of it as they make the turnaround. Such a fun idea!

Note: Only Olympic racers, wearing a BLUE race Bibs, Numbers 1-599 will be coming back to this spot to turnaround and start their second loop. Red bibs are Sprint racers and if you see them, they missed their turn to finish.
