Details

We are working with Keep San Antonio Beautiful to start a recycling effort for all our race day trash.
Volunteers will monitor and empty bins, ensure that signage stays in place, support participants and vendors in recycling, and ensure that everyone disposes of trash and recyclables in the correct bin.

Serve the wine to the participants and volunteers. Each runner/volunteer gets 2 wine pours. Open wine bottles as needed. Large metal tubs will be available to chill the wine.

Assist with water stop on the course, keep area clear of trash, cheer runners. Supplies will be pre-positioned at the water stop.

Check in at Tuscany Venue 16102 Old Fredericksburg Rd, San Antonio, TX 78257 and then proceed to Fox Park Trailhead located at 6518 W Hausman Rd, San Antonio, TX 78249. There you can access the Leon Creek Greenway. You will turn right on to the Greenway and the water stop will be less than a quarter mile walk. Be sure you are at the 5-Miler Turnaround sign. Adjust table and supplies as necessary.

Water Stop #1

Assist with water stop on the course, pour water into runners cups, cheer runners. Supplies will be pre-positioned at the water stop. Supplies will be pre-positioned at the water stop.

Parking Marshal

Details

Direct runners to parking spots either across from the race venue or behind the retail parking. Vendors and others can drive in the second gate and unload, but instruct them not to park in that area. The early morning volunteers (race director, volunteer coordinator, site & course set up, and medical) can park in the unpaved lot through the first gate. Please request that runners and volunteers do not park on the road along Old Fredericksburg Road. Volunteer Coordinator will provide you with maps for parking at race site and off site. Safety vest and flashlights will be provided.

Wine Glass Distribution

Mark bibs at wine distribution stations

There will be 3 stations for runners/volunteers to get wine after the race. Each person will be allowed 2 wine pours and bibs must be marked for each pour. Put a line on the bib for the first pour and then cross it for the second pour (ie, make an "X"). If the person looks under 21 you can ask for ID.

Medical Tent Volunteer
