Water Stations

Water Station 1 (Start/Finish Line) High Priority

You must be 14 or older to volunteer for this task.

At least 2 more volunteers needed.

Details

Set up and man a water station at the Start/Finish Line and provide runners and walkers with refreshments. Communicate with medical personnel if a race participant appears to be injured or struggling.

Located at the Start/Finish Line.

Water Station (Mid Course) High Priority

You must be 14 or older to volunteer for this task.

At least 3 more volunteers needed.

Details

Set up and man a water station located adjacent to the Falls and provide runners and walkers traveling in both directions with refreshments. Communicate with medical personnel if a race participant appears to be injured or struggling excessively.

Start/Finish Line

Timing High Priority

You must be 18 or older to volunteer for this task.

At least 2 more volunteers needed.

Must have attended timing training in order to volunteer for this role.

Medical Personnel High Priority

You must be 22 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

Must be a trained medical professional such as a first responder, paramedic, nurse, nurse practitioner, or doctor.

Finish Line Medals High Priority

You must be 13 or older to volunteer for this task.

At least 2 more volunteers needed.

Details

Responsible for handing out medals to race finishers as the cross the Finish Line.

Registration, Packets & Merchandise

Packet Filling High Priority

You must be 15 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

Packing participant t-shirts and race numbers (for early entries) prior to the event.

Packet Pickup & Late Registration High Priority

You must be 18 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

Complete late registrations and hand out packets at the Start/Finish line prior to the event commencing.

Course Setup

Mile Markers/Directional Arrows High Priority

Details

Placing mile markers and directional arrows throughout the course in the areas indicated on the course map.

Arch Setup High Priority

You must be 20 or older to volunteer for this task.

Details

Pick up the arch and generator the day prior and set up at the Start/Finish line an hour prior to the race commencing.

Turnarounds

Turnaround (Halfway) High Priority

You must be 18 or older to volunteer for this task.

At least 1 more volunteer needed.

Details

Ensure all participants turn around at the halfway point, then act as course sweeper and follow the last runner/walker to the finish line. Communicate with medical personnel if a race participant appears to be injured or struggling excessively.
