Set-Up: 6:15am-7:30am

• Arrive at 6 a.m. on event day to meet and lead set-up team of volunteers in staging all areas and setting up
• Duties involve manual labor - setup of tents, tables, stage, sound equipment, etc. working closely with the Race Director and Freekind’s Event Coordinator
• *Some lifting is required.

Race Course Marshal: 7:30-9:30am High Priority

Details

• Volunteers should be at the mid-point race location (Newport News: park at Lion's Bridge) by 8:00am. ***Must be able to stay for the entire duration of the race and may require walking/standing for extended periods of time***
• Duties can involve:
• Acting as a Race Marshal along the race course
• Cheering runners
• Ensure other volunteers are in place
• Clearing course of obstructions the morning of the race
• Duties will be assigned as needed by the 5K Volunteer Coordinator
