Freedom Run 5K

The Freedom Run 5K will return this year! Join us as we celebrate Independence Day in Chester, WV on July 4, 2025 at 9:00 am.  This event continues to grow each year and we anticipate another great turnout this July!

RUNNERS/WALKERS WELCOME

The race will start and finish at 817 Carolina Avenue in Chester, WV.

Register online or at the following locations:  Hancock County Savings Bank and Summit Physical Therapy in Chester 

Registration must be completed no later than June 19, 2025 to be guaranteed a t-shirt. You most likely will not receive a shirt if you register later than this date. Registration will remain open at the designated locations and online until a minute before the race starts. Register early by June 19th or the cost of registration goes from $20 to $25. Additional t-shirts will be given on a first come, first serve basis. 

Race packets/t-shirts can be picked up at Hancock County Savings Bank, Chester WV on July 3rd from 2:00pm - 5:00pm to avoid waiting in line on race day! We strongly encourage early pick-up!

Awards will be given to the top 3 runners in each age group (males/females) and top 3 walkers (males/females). 

Age groups are as follows:

• 12 and under
• 13-19
• 20-29
• 30-39
• 40-49
• 50-59
• 60-69
• 70+
• Walker

Prize for most patriotic participant!

Participants should plan to arrive no later than 8:15 AM. Registration table will close promptly at 8:45 AM.
