I’m participating in the Santa Barbara Triathlon SB10 as part of TEAM GARY to support the Cancer Foundation of Santa Barbara and honor Gary Fruin, beloved radio host of 101.7 KLITE, who passed away from cancer in January 2025.
I heard about team Gary through the SB Masters Swim Team, which is the local swim team I’m a part of. I have been an avid swimmer for over 15 years, but this will be my first ever triathlon. I’m excited to take on the challenge while raising money to support an important cause.
This cause is especially meaningful to me because my dad battled cancer in 2008, and it has created lifelong health challenges for him and our family. Supporting cancer care and research is something close to my heart.
My fundraising goal is $101.70, and any donation would mean so much to me. Thank you for your support!
