Hi everyone,
Most of you know that I have been a pediatric speech therapist for 20 plus years. I recently joined Joyful Motion in 2023. Joyful Motion is a local non-profit pediatric physical, occupational, speech/language and feeding therapy clinic supporting local children. We provide skilled therapy services in a safe welcoming environment for infants and children with special needs. At Joyful Motion, we want every child to be able to meet their full potential, to succeed in school, make friends, enjoy life, and grow in relationships.
Joyful Motion is hosting Joyful Motion Run for the Children 5k and 1-mile Fun Run on April 11th at Wall Springs Park in Palm Harbor. This fundraiser will ensure that more children and families can access therapy services that they need, regardless of financial barriers. Funds raised will help expand access to care and provide critical resources to children right here in our community. This will also help us continue the ability to serve all children equally, so they can be successful members of our community.
This fundraiser is important to me because I know first-hand how costly therapy services can become as my own son had to receive services. For many years I had to pay out of pocket due to denial of insurance. Without services he would not be where he is today; I am grateful for all his therapist and his personal accomplishments.
