The HACEMOS Dallas-Fort Worth Chapter is always looking for additional opportunities to support higher education, which is why in 2020, we partnered with the Institute of Mexicans Abroad (IME) and the Consulate General of Mexico in Dallas to create a new scholarship: the IME Becas/ HACEMOS Dallas Scholarship Program. This program was designed to assist students residing and planning to study in the Dallas-Fort Worth area by awarding a scholarship up to $2,000. Like with our traditional HACEMOS Scholarship Program, we aimed to help relieve some of the financial burden of our local students pursuing a post-secondary education.
For the past five years, HACEMOS DFW has continued to partner with IME, the Consulate General of Mexico in Dallas, and other local organizations to award over $313K in scholarships to 160 students. We're dedicated to supporting college and university students in North Texas.
