Join us Saturday, September 13th at the University of Texas at Arlington for the HACEMOS DFW Scholarship 5K Run/Walk!

The race benefits the IME Becas / HACEMOS DFW Scholarship Program. All proceeds from this event will go directly toward awarding scholarships to deserving students across the DFW area. Learn more about the IME Becas / HACEMOS DFW Scholarship Program here.

The 2025 5K Scholarship Run/Walk involves your choice of:

• 1) a 5K Run/Walk on a certified course or
• 2) a virtual race – perfect for anyone who wants to run but cannot be with us in person on race day. Virtual Racers can complete their race from wherever they live!

About HACEMOS

HACEMOS, the Hispanic Association of Communications Employees of AT&T, is a non-profit, non-partisan organization who strive to improve the quality of life in our communities.

HACEMOS means "We Do," and through the HACEMOS Scholarship Foundation we award $1,500 to two-year college students and $2,500 to four-year college students that are selected in the next-year scholarship program application.

Registration Timeline

• In-Person 5K Early Registration: Friday, June 20th to Thursday, July 31st ($35)
• In-Person 5K 1st Price Increase: Friday, August 1st to Sunday, August 31st ($37)
• In-Person 5K 2nd Price Increase: Monday, September 1st to Saturday, September 13th ($40)
• Virtual 5K Registration: Friday, June 20th to Saturday, September 13th ($25) 
  • Shirt and medal not included

Race Day Schedule: Saturday, September 13, 2025*

• 6:45AM - 7:45AM: On-site registration and packet pickup
• 8:00AM: Race time start
• 9:00AM: Post-race celebration begins, food, vendors, and awards
• 11:00AM: Event officially ends

*Rain or shine we will have the 5K Scholarship Run/Walk, and no refunds will be given. At the race director's discretion we could delay or cancel for safety (lightning or other unsafe conditions). If during the course of the race it is deemed unsafe, participants are highly encouraged to return to the MAC and take cover.

Important Info

• Parking: Free parking will be available near the Swift Center (1022 UTA Blvd., Arlington, TX 76013)
• Snacks: Snacks and water will be provided for participants only
• Prizes: Will be given after the race for overall male/female (more details to come)
• Pets: Following UTA campus policy, pets will not be allowed to join the 5K course, with the exception of service animals
• Shirts: Unisex T-shirt included with registration (in-person racing only); the order deadline for guaranteed shirts in your selected size is Friday, August 22nd
  • We will make a second order of shirts after August 22nd; however, due to printing and delivery delays, participants who registered after cutoff date may not receive a shirt in their size or one at all.
  • Any extra shirts will be distributed on a first come first serve basis on race morning.
