On October 4th 2015 the landscape of triathlon in the Deep South changed with the 2015 RyanMan Triathlon. Although the Deep South has a rich history of Olympic and Sprint distance races, the area needed that premier independent long course race that would bring triathletes throughout the Deep South together as a true test for every endurance athlete. Over the last four years this race has grown toward its goal of being just that, the premier independent triathlon in the Deep South. Year five of our race brings a new and exciting chapter; a reboot, a rejuvenation, a rebrand...
The Deep South Triathlon is born. An independent race that puts the athlete first with each decision that is made. A race truly designed by triathletes and made with the wants and needs of triathletes in mind.
The race will start at Lakeshore Park in Brandon, MS and consist of three legs: 1.2 mile swim in the Ross R Barnett Reservoir, a 56 mile bike, and a 13.1 mile. This combination provides the longest triathlon in Mississippi.
