Reindeer Run 5K – Run, Celebrate, and Make a Difference! This truly is a family-friendly event, and proceeds directly fund our Physical Activity Grant—helping to create more opportunities for people of all ages to stay active and healthy right here in Chatham County.
The Chatham County Partnership for Children is proud to support families with children under the age of five through direct services for families, coaching, technical assistance for childcare providers, and the promotion of healthy family activities throughout Chatham County.

The Reindeer Run 5K is one of Pittsboro’s favorite traditions! Starting and finishing at Central Carolina Community College, the race winds through the beautiful campus, into historic downtown Pittsboro, and back again.
This event offers the perfect mix of competitive spirit and festive fun! Serious runners will love our USATF-sanctioned course, while others may enjoy dressing in their best holiday costumes to jog or walk their way to the finish line. It’s a race for all ages—plus, we’re thrilled to offer a separate Rudolph’s Fun Run just for younger participants!

You can participate as an Individual or as part of a Team!
Teams consist of five or more members, and the team time will be the sum of the three fastest finishers.
School Teams are reserved for local school groups (students, staff, and even parents!). When you register, please make sure to select the School Team event if applicable.
How to Register Your Team:
You can register your entire team at once (using one credit card) or have team members register individually.
To create a team, select “Teams” on the left and then click “Register & Create a Team.” Choose “Team 5K” as your event, click the red “Team” button, and create your Team name.
Members registering separately can find the team by selecting “Team 5K” and searching for the Team name under the “Team” button.
✨ Rudolph’s Fun Run!
This short, kid-friendly course (3/4 of mile) stays on the CCCC campus. Participants will celebrate crossing the finish line with a medal presented by Rudolph and his helpers!

We strongly encourage everyone to register online for the easiest experience.
Shirts are guaranteed only to participants who register by November 21, 2025. After this date, shirt sizes cannot be exchanged or changed.

Early Packet Pickup and Race Day Packet Pickup
EARLY PACKET PICK-UP
Packets are provided for 5K (Individual, Team, and School Team) runners only. Rudolph’s Family Fun Run participants can pick up their race shirts at this time as well.
Early packet pickup will be available on December 10th and 11th from 5–7 PM at Central Carolina Community College, Building 41. The primary location for packet pickup will be at the student center on the CCCC campus. Specific details will be emailed closer to race day. Packets can also be picked up on race day, but we highly encourage early pickup to help make race day smoother.
If you are running with a team: Please be prepared to pick up packets for your whole team at one time.
School Teams: Please coordinate with the Communications and Development Coordinator to get all of your packets at once prior to the race.
