Tarpon Triathlon

Overview 
This is a sprint distance triathlon in South Louisiana with a pool swim. The bike and run portions occur on a roadway that follows along the curves of Bayou Black, which makes for a scenic race. The race starts at 7:30 am with a pre-race meeting on the pool deck at 7:15. Packet pick-up on Friday 8/6/2021 at Studio Matrix; 308 Venture Blvd., Houma, LA. Race day packet pick up at Bayou Black from 6:00-7:10 am.

Course Description 
The race begins with a pool swim. All participants are pre-seeded according to their swim time. It is a staggered start with one person starting the swim portion every 10 seconds. You then proceed to the transition area and on to the bike course which is a 10 mile out and back route along Bayou Black. The run is a 3 mile out & back along the opposite portion of Bayou Black.

We do offer partial discounts for those canceling during our cancellation periods.

If the event is NOT sold out, a discount code for 50% of your race registration fee will be offered until 7 days prior to the race date. No discounts codes will be given within 7 days before the event, if the event is not sold out.

If the event IS sold out, a discount code for 50% of your race registration fee will be offered until 3 days prior to the race date. No discounts codes will be given within 3 days before the event, if the event is sold out.

Partial discount codes are only available for cancellations of completed registrations. A registration is considered incomplete if payment was mailed in and has not yet been received. Discount codes can be used to register for another Bayou Black Recreation Center event and will be valid for 12 months after the event date.
