BODY MARKING
Body marking for the Genesis Triathlons & Duathlon is a crucial step in ensuring smooth and organized race operations. Here's what you need to know about the body marking process:
Temporary Tattoos: Each athlete will find a sheet of temporary tattoos in their gear bag at their designated spot on the bike rack in the transition area. These tattoos will contain numbers for the bicep, to be placed from the shoulder to the elbow.
Preparation: Before applying the temporary tattoos, please refrain from applying sunscreen, as this may affect the adhesion of the tattoos.
Application: Dampen the bicep with water and place the tattoo numbers on the designated area. Then, place a wet towel over the tattoo and hold for 30 seconds, applying firm pressure.
Removal: After 30 seconds, remove the towel and carefully peel off the backing of the tattoo to reveal the numbers.
Body Marking Table: A designated body marking table will be set up under the Body Marking flag. This table will be equipped with water and towels for applying the temporary tattoos.
Support Crew Marking: Additionally, support crews will mark each athlete with their age on one calf and the event code on the other calf. The event codes are as follows:
T = Olympic Triathlon
S = Sprint Triathlon
SS = Super Sprint Triathlon
D = Duathlon
R = Relay
By following these body marking guidelines, we can ensure accurate identification and efficient race management for all participants in the Genesis Triathlons & Duathlon. Thank you for your cooperation, and best of luck on race day!
