DUATHLON
For those who prefer to skip the swim, the Duathlon offers a thrilling Run-Bike-Run format with distances of 2 miles, 20 kilometers, and 5 kilometers. You'll kick off your race journey at the Duathlon start flag, conveniently located across the street from the beach and Transition 1 on the corner.
Approximately 5-10 minutes before your start time, announcements will call all duathletes to gather at the start flag. Here, the Run Course coordinator will provide further instructions and lead you out for the initial run segment, guiding you back down to Transition 2.
Transition 2 serves as the hub for your race progression. After completing the first run, you'll transition to the bike course from Transition 2 and embark on two exhilarating loops around the island. Upon returning to Transition 2, you'll switch gears once again, this time gearing up for the final 5k run leg.
Remember, it's essential to leave your bike and gear for the second run at Transition 2, situated at the finish line. Please refrain from taking it down to the beach area. Be sure to report to the start at the beach by 7:00 a.m. to ensure a smooth and timely start to your Duathlon experience.
