Event Summary for 2022

The 2nd running of the Mount Afton Challenge was completed on January 8, 2022 and the event was huge success because of you!

Our goal was to have a fun, yet challenging event that would help support our mission to bring awareness to Mental Health and Suicide Prevention services that are available locally.  We hope that the broadened awareness of NAMI Cabarrus will help ensure anyone we know in need, can more easily find help, support and resources.

Thru our partnership with the F3 Foundation, the 2022 Mount Afton Challenge was able to raise an amazing $12,343.  We are thrilled to be able to support the Cabarrus County Chapter of NAMI with the majority of those funds.

In addition to the amazing fundraising, we want to pass on a huge congratulations to all of the participants.  A tremendous amount of hard work was on full display during the Mount Afton Challenge by all the runners and ruckers.  During the 2 hours of the event (from 8-10am), around 150 participants completed over 1,000 miles (laps).  Great work by all!

Last but not least, we also want to thank our tremendous Sponsors for their partnership.  The sponsors were a critical part of the event and success of our mission. Click the button below to learn more about our 2022 sponsors.
