Q: I want to defer my registration?
Deferrals are done online by you!
You can defer by clicking manage registration in your confirmation email. Look for defer registration in the menu. Or log into runsignup.com and find Mountains of misery in your races then click manage registration. Again find defer registration in the menu. There is a small fee to defer to the follow year-$3.
Q: I want to start with my friends!
We want you to start with your friends too! Use the Group/Team feature to make this happen. One of the team members needs to create the group and the rest needs to join it. To do this click manage registration in your confirmation email. Look for group/team in the menu. Or log into runsignup.com and find Mountains of misery in your races then click manage registration. Again find group/team in the menu. If you are creating the group select the create tab. If you are joining a group, select join- then find the group.
Q: I want to be in the first wave! Can you make sure I start there?
Double Metric is the first wave to go off. If you are riding double metric, then we will have you in Wave 1. See you at the start line!
The century riders will be split into 3-5 groups. We know that everyone wants to be in the first wave. We wish we could make this happen, but we have seen some nasty crashes and wish to not see that happen. So we keep the numbers for each group to a minimum so that everyone can complete the ride safely. I know you might be bummed that you didn't get the wave you wanted, but we make sure friends stay together and we thank our returning riders by making sure they are in a wave appropriate for bettering their time from the year before. Didn't get your first pick this year, come back next year and we are sure you will get closer to that group.
Q. But what if I just email you that I want to be in the 1st century group?
Sorry, you are not the only one also doing that. We won't be able to take request and will probably not even respond. We still love you, don't worry! We do give an opportunity to request a change after the assignments are sent out to voice your concern or maybe even an error we made (we are human after all and are looking at over 400 people's information, groups, and previous ride times) but it will be on first come first serve when space opens up.
Q. Can my friend pick up my packet?
You are the only one that can pick up your packet. You will need your ID too!
