RACE SERIES 2023 - Pending Potential Updates

This event is part of the DQ Events Grand Prix and DQ Events Club Challenge.
You are scored for an overall placement, an age group placement, and for finishing the event. At the end of the series there will be prizes for free entries into 2024 and more! Kayak and Non-Multisport events do not gain points.
To be scored in the Grand Prix all you have to do is place in the Overall, Age Group, or finish the race!
To be scored in the Club Challenge you need to select your club during registration and then place in Overall, Age Group, or finish the race!

DUATHLON: 1 mile Trail Run, 12.6 mile Road Cycle, 6K Trail Run (2 Person Relay available)

SUPER SPRINT: 1 mile Trail Run 6.3 mile Road Cycle 2 mile Trail Run (A great event for beginners or kids) 

RUN ONLY OPTION - 6K Trail Race on one of the parks most unique trails. 

This event takes place during the onset of Fall Foliage at the park. Expect cool temps and lots of colors! 
Walk up registration is available 7:00-7:45 am for the Duathlon and 7:00-8:20 for the 6K. All athletes must park at the Danna Farm less than a quarter mile south of the race location. 

No double-dipping or duplicate awards, awards may vary based on event, category, attendance, etc.

Overall: Top 3 Male & Female, 1st Overall Athena and Clydesdale 

Age Groups: Top 3 Male & Female
 15-19, 20- 29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+

Relay Awards

Overall: Top 3 Male and Female 

6k Trail Race

Overall: Top 3 Male & Female

Age Groups: Top 3 Male & Female

USAT INFORMATION
This is a USAT Sanctioned event. All participants (excluding the trail run ) must have an active USAT Membership that has not expired before the conclusion of the event and must follow all USAT rules and guidelines.

1 Mile Run

Both the the Duathlon and Super Sprint will complete the same one mile run to start.  The first run is a single loop around Thundergust Lake.  You will turn right to enter the trail and follow the trail around the lake keeping the lake on your left at all times.  

Bike Map

The bike course is a big circle around the park property. Once you leave the Thundergust picnic area you will turn right on to Parvin Mill Road. Next turn right on to Morton Ave.  You will then turn right onto Centerton Road. When you come to the traffic light you will bear to the right to get on to Almond Road. You will the turn right bak on to Parvins Mill road and head back to transition.  If you are doing the Duathlon you will complete a SECOND loop. The Super Sprint only does ONE loop. 

6k Run Map

The 6k Trail Run and the second Duathlon run will be on the same course. The run will be on the trails of Parvins Park.  Once you leave transition you will head out and pick up the trail for Thundergust Lake.  You will then cross over the paved trail and pick up the Green Trail. You will follow the Green Trail around the whole lake and through the camping area until you meet back up where you entered the trail. You will then follow the Thundergust trail back the way you came to reach the finish.
