Details

Help kids/parents set up their transition area. Manage athletes/parents coming in and out. Assist kids with racking bikes, getting on helmet, check shoelaces. Direct kids to the right in and out for bike and run.

Details

Direct kids along the course and help keep spectators off the course. Those near transition, help to manage run or bike in and out the correct chutes.

If at a turnaround, direct kids around the turnaround and remind them to stay to the right.

Direct cyclists and slow them down as they turn and remind them to stay right and watch for oncoming foot or bike traffic on the other side of the road.

Medical Volunteer

Details

Help manage spectators to keep them off the course. Direct athletes and slow them down as they turn and near any bad patches of trail. Remind them to stay right and watch for oncoming foot or bike traffic on the other side of the trail. For those near transition, direct athletes in and out of transition and onto the course. Requires walking on the trail. Volunteers are also welcome to bring bikes to get to their position too.

Volunteer Coordinator High Priority

You must be 20 or older to volunteer for this task.

At least 5 more volunteers needed.

Details

Volunteer Coordinators should be willing to take on the responsibility of helping plan and be in charge of specific sections of the course on race day. Coordinators will be responsible for attending pre-race planning sessions and communicating with volunteers under their supervision prior to race day. They will direct volunteers assigned to them the morning of the race and ensure all positions are in place and communicate with the race director. This will be about an 8-hour commitment prior to the race. Coordinators will need to be at the race venue from 5-11 am on race day.
