Sunday Swim Course

Details

Must be a lifeguard with a current certification.

Support swimmer safety by monitoring swimmers and keeping a close watch on your assigned area. You’ll assist anyone who needs help, communicate with the safety team, and help guide swimmers along the course. Attentiveness is key in this role.

Sunday Transition

Details

The transition area is where athletes change from swim to bike and bike to run. Transition volunteers check in and write numbers on athletes when they arrive, and then direct athletes through the transition area during the race.

Sunday Bike Course (16+ Years Old)

Help keep athletes safe on the bike course. Bike course volunteers monitor key areas, direct cyclists at turns and intersections, and help keep spectators clear of the course using a clear voice and confident presence. Awareness of your surroundings and traffic is important. Volunteers must be 16+ years of age. Volunteers under 16 are welcome when accompanied by an adult.

Sunday Run Course

Guide and encourage athletes as they make their way through the run course. You’ll point runners in the right direction and keep the course clear with a strong voice and confident presence. This is a great role if you enjoy cheering people on while staying attentive.

Sunday Water/Aid Station

Sunday Finish Line

Help create a smooth and safe finish as athletes complete their race. You’ll hand out medals, remove timing chips (requires lots of bending over), and direct athletes to post-race food. Volunteers keep the finish chute moving and the area clear so everyone can safely finish their race.
