Boise is home to a wide variety of food, sightseeing, and lodging options!
Below are some of our favorites, and we are always happy to provide additional recommendations as needed.

FOOD

BREAKFAST:

Goldy's
They don't take reservations, so you'll have to stop by and put your name on a list. Be prepared to wait at least 30 min depending on the time, but it's worth it! You can wander around downtown while you wait

Waffle Me Up
We recommend the Bobacado Deluxe or Strawberry Nutella

Moon's Kitchen Cafe
The BEST beignets in town

LUNCH/DINNER:

Don & Charly's
The best sandwiches -
we recommend the Chicken Banh Mi!

The Front Door
Lesser known but the best pizza in Boise by far! Also has great salads and a fantastic rotating tap list

Brickyard
Great steakhouse, and dueling pianos on Friday nights

Tavolata
Authentic Italian

Taphouse
Burgers/pub food/taphouse

Acero Wine Bar

Coa de Jima
Higher end Mexican

Boise Fry Co
"Fries with a side of burgers." Tons of dip and salt combo options

DESSERT:

Dee's Ice Cream Trolley in Hyde Park

The STIL ice cream

Stella's ice cream

THINGS TO DO

Freak Alley Gallery
This is "hidden" in downtown, off 9th & Bannock.
Make sure you wander through the full back alley and the little nooks and crannies between 8th & 9th. Take your time, there's SO much to see & most of it changes every year!

Boise State Smurf Turf (football field)
You'll run right next to it during the race, but if you go during regular business hours you can pop into the Allen Noble Hall of Fame and get a good view of it!

Boise Art Museum

Kathryn Albertson Park
Great place to see some wildlife in the middle of town

Hyde Park District in the North End
Great to wander, shop, and eat. Coffee shops, restaurants, bike shops, antique stores, and more.
Definitely check out Dee's Ice Cream Trolley while you're there!
Camel's Back Park is only a couple blocks away and has some great hiking on/behind the hill.
Harrison Blvd which is nearby, is one of the oldest streets in Boise and has some really awesome houses along it, too - as does 15th street

Boise Train Depot

Basque Block
Boise is home to the largest concentration of Basque people in the US so there's a couple great Basque restaurants and a museum right downtown on 6th & Grove!

Capital City Public Market
Every saturday in Downtown on the Grove Plaza 930am-130pm

Boise Farmer's Market
Every Saturday 9am-1pm on 15th & River St.
This one is primarly food and produce vendors, plus coffee and food trucks
