I had my first seizure at the age of 40. At the time, I didn’t even know what a seizure was. They began creeping into my life intermittently and, over time, became more frequent. It took five years before doctors finally determined that I had epilepsy.
For twelve years, I battled seizures while doctors searched for the right combination of medications to control them. Eventually, they found the right cocktail. Today, it has been more than eight years since I’ve had a seizure.
Even though I am seizure-free, I will always live with epilepsy. And while many others continue to fight daily seizures, the work of the Epilepsy Foundation of San Diego County, providing hope, guidance, advocacy, and community, is truly life-changing.
I am raising funds for an annual fundraising event benefiting the Epilepsy Foundation of San Diego to support those who are not yet seizure-free and who rely on community, education, advocacy, and hope.
I would deeply appreciate your support, whether by joining our team to help raise funds or by donating on my behalf. Every contribution makes a difference, and every show of support matters.
Thank you for standing with our epilepsy community. 💜

Welcome to My Sharon's Ride.Run.Walk. San Diego Fundraising Page!
Sharon's Ride.Run.Walk San Diego is a 15-mile Bike Ride or 5K Run/Walk that is very important to me. I am raising money to help The Epilepsy Foundation of San Diego County so they can provide wraparound support services and programs at no cost to individuals and families affected by epilepsy. Please help me support this cause and spread awareness for epilepsy.
