This year's Turnagain Training Triathlon Group will meet on Wednesday's. This is a 75min workout focused on gaining speed and building endurance. Our Youth Elite Team, ages 12-15 will meet 6-7:15pm, Kids 16yrs through Adults will meet 7:15-8:30pm. Our triathlon training program is an 10wk Summer Group, May 26-July 28th. All kids must have some experience with swimming, biking & running and looking to be competitive in the sport. We will be working on biking, running & transitions, May 5th-June 23rd then change over to open water swimming, trail running and transitions June 30-July 28th. Coach Heather will be on a stand-up paddle board during open water swim workouts and will have buoys out for swimmers to swim to. We have wetsuits available to loan out, first preference will be for the kids, as they were purchased through the USA Triathlon High Performance Grant. If you are unsure if this is a good fit for you or your child, email Coach Heather, Heather@Turnagaintraining.com. Everyone is required to have a USA Triathlon license that is valid through the end of the training session. Please email your USAT license to Coach Heather upon signing up for the training group. Everyone is welcome to come and try out 1 session for free, but a USAT license is required (Kids 17 & under, $10/yr; Adults $15/1day license OR $50/yr license).
WHAT YOU NEED: All athletes must have a safe, working bike (helmets are required too!). Clip-in pedals is strongly encouraged. Outdoor running clothing and shoes with elastics are also strongly encouraged. When we transition to open water swimming, Coach Heather has 14 wetsuits AND swim buoys available to loan out, first come first served with initial preference on youth. Tinted goggles are helpful when open water swimming. Swim suit or tri suit is necessary under your wetsuit. Recommend bringing a towel as well. Neoprene swim booties are really helpful in Little Campbell Lake as the rocks are extremely sharp and the water temperature initially can be cold.

7:15-8:30pm - Kids 16yrs old through Adults
- Youth Elite Team: These are kids looking to take their triathlon training to the next level, want to push themselves physically and be guided by a Coach. These are kids that are interested in being on the podium in the age group or getting into good shape for their upcoming Fall sports seasons. These kids are able to swim, bike and run but do not necessarily have to be strong at all 3 sports. Must know how to swim. It is OK if they are new to open water swimming, many kids are.
- Adult Team: This program is for adults looking to get back into shape or into better shape, working on gaining speed and building endurance. This group is geared towards beginner through intermediate level triathletes.
EXAMPLE OF PRACTICE:
6-6:45pm - 45min Bike Workout - working on hill interval repeats
6:45-7pm Practice Transitions as a group several times
7-7:15pm - 15min Run Workout - 3sets; 2mins FAST 2mins EASY
