4. After 5 registrants sign up using your unique referral link you will automatically receive a refund of your registration fee. (Refund does not include any USAT fees paid)
In addition to finisher medals, awards will be given out to athletes that place overall and in their age groups. There is no double-dipping.
Relays (2 & 3 Person Relays Combined)
Parking for the Baltimore Triathlon is available within the park in designated areas. Attendants will be present to direct traffic the morning of the race.
Official chip timing will be handled by Charm City Run Events. Participants will receive accurate times for each segment of the race, including transitions, as well as ranking based on each segment.
Each registrant will receive the following items:
A long-sleeve Under Armour technical race shirt available in gender-specific cuts.
Individual registrants will receive a colored swim cap with the Baltimore Triathlon logo that corresponds to their wave group. For relays, the swim leg will receive the swim cap. Participants must wear the provided swim cap during the race.
In addition to body marking, each participant will receive a helmet number, bike number, and bib number. The bib number is only required for the run portion, and must be worn on the front of the body and visible at all times.
All participants in the individual and relay races will receive a Baltimore Triathlon finisher’s medal upon completion of the race.
Post-Race Food & Drink
Traditionally we have offered food and snacks for athletes after the race. A final determination based on current health requirements will be made closer to the race.
Water temperatures at Hammerman Beach have historically hovered around 70 degrees at the end of September, and we expect that the race will be wetsuit legal. A final measurement will be taken the morning of the race, and results communicated to all athletes in transition prior to the race start.
Packets will be available for pickup at the following times:
Friday, September 29th from 2-6 PM
Saturday, September 30th from 6:05 AM to 7:45 AM
Sunday, October 1st from 6:05 AM to 7:45 AM.
Packets are available in the Athlete Village, located in the transition lot at Gunpowder State Park. Per USAT rules, you must pick up your race packet in person and bring photo identification, along with your USAT card if you are a member. Each relay member must be present to pick up their own packet. Packets will not be released to anyone other than the athlete for any reason.
The Baltimore Triathlon is a USA Triathlon Sanctioned event, and adheres to all USAT rules and procedures. A complete listing of USAT rules can be found on the USA Triathlon Website.
In the event of inclement weather or other unavoidable circumstances, The Baltimore Triathlon reserves the right to modify or cancel any portion of the race that is deemed unsafe for participants.
To ensure participant safety and minimize impact on the surrounding communities, the Baltimore Triathlon has established course cutoffs for the races in coordination with the Baltimore County Police Department. All cyclists MUST be off of the road by 10:00 AM. This gives sprint participants approximately 2 hours to complete the 750m swim, transition 1, and the 13.8 mile bike course (based on an 8:00 AM start).
Race officials reserve the right to pull any participant from the course who is not making satisfactory progress on the course, or is considered a danger to themselves or others.

These funds are used to pay for race premiums, permits, supplies, staffing, and other costs incurred before, during, and after the event is held. To be consistent and fair to everyone we cannot make exceptions to this policy.
We offer the option for registrants to defer their entry to the following year's event based on Charm City Run's General Deferral fee schedule:

Registrants may defer their entry by going into their profile on runsignup.com and choosing "Manage Registration" next to the race.
We offer the option for registrants to transfer their entry to another eligible participant up to September 29, 2023. After this deadline passes we are unable to allow transfers as race materials have been received and prepped for the event. Again, to be consistent and fair to everyone we cannot make exceptions to this policy. Registrants may transfer their entry to another registrant by going into their profile on runsignup.com and choosing "Manage Registration" next to the race.
