The Red Flannel Run is the Wellmark YMCA’s largest fundraiser to help make the YMCA accessible to ALL.
The unofficial kick-off to the race season, the Red Flannel Run, brings people together to raise awareness of the YMCA and
is credited with being the longest, consecutively-produced race in Des Moines. Participants wear their favorite red flannel
attire to show their support of the YMCA’s mission to strengthen the foundations of community through youth development,
healthy living, and social responsibility.
